I started traveling in 1970 during the summer when I was in college. “Europe on 5 dollars a day” was a popular book! Though I do not consider myself an avid traveler, over the years, I have traveled back and forth to Europe, have visited Asia and Egypt and most of the United States.  I especially like to visit the artistic sites that are featured in the art history classes that I teach. It helps bring bring a sense of excitement and enthusiasm to the lectures! My art is inspired by the sights I see when traveling, but my immediate environment also inspires me.  I live in

Staten Island and East Hampton, New York;  both are abundant with beautiful woods, parks and waters, complete with beautiful lighting!

Nature imagery provides the vehicle to explore the formal and intuitive elements that consume my work.
